How To Get There
By Road
From Cork – Follow the M8 until exiting at Junction three for Ballacolla. After the services, turn right onto the L1640 and the course will be located on your left-hand side.
From Dublin - Take the M7 turn off from the M50. Merge onto the M8 until exiting for Ballacolla at Junction three. After the services, turn right onto the L1640 and the course will be located on your left-hand side.
By Air
The course is located one hour and 15 minutes away from Dublin airport, whilst Shannon airport is one hour and 20 minutes from the track.

Free parking is available for all spectators. Disabled persons will be accommodated in a suitable location close to the track and facilities. It is advised that they make themselves known to the stewards who will be clearly identified by “hi-vis” stewards jackets.
Temporary toilets are provided in a number of locations on site.

Outside caterers provide hot food options to order in the form of burgers and chips and similar fast food options. These are located near the parade ring and bookmakers.
The venue lends itself very well to family picnics when the weather is favourable. Separate catering facilities are provided for sponsors and officials.
Also, why not arrive early and enjoy a picnic from your car booth before enjoying a full days racing !

There will be a selection of coffees and hot drinks while the fast food caterers offer soft drinks.
There is no bar on site but there are a number of local hostelries in the area where you can either celebrate a win or alternatively wonder where it all went wrong.
There is no official dress code. Smart casual attire is advised but most importantly, it should be suited to the weather on the day.
Dogs are more than welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times.
Ballygogue House is a beautiful venue and when the weather is favorable, it is a wonderful setting for an afternoon picnic. We encourage this and have seen many groups enjoy everything from mini BBQ on a sunny afternoon to hot-toddies during chillier weather.
Kids entertainment is provided typically in the form of a bouncy castle or a similar attraction depending on the weather.
There is no ATM at the course.

Ballygogue House is a new track for the Laois Hunt.
This event is ideal for those who would like to enjoy a picnic while watching the racing.
Parking is available very close to the final fence and finish line.
Children’s entertainment is provided. This is typically a bouncy castle or similar attraction depending on the weather at the time.
Occasionally, supplementary entertainment such as cossack riding, side-saddle and best dressed ladies and gents competitions are organised.

Brian Lawless has won consecutive four-year-old maiden races impressive across the past two weekends, and he could attempt to continue that run with a trio of entries for this, namely Ballycrystal Boy, Moura, and Max Potential. Pat Doyle and Walter Connors have a good strike record together, which would ensure their French-bred, Rubyball, would have to be respected, as is the case with Action Replay and Clean As A Whistle whose handler, Derek OConnor, has had six horses finish placed in four-year-old maiden races already this month.

FOUND IT only found a more experienced rival too strong when making a very promising debut in a Cragmore maiden last month, when the front pair pulled 36 lengths clear of their rivals. She is certainly capable of going one better here. Queen Lily is the obvious danger after she finished third at Boulta in November on her introduction, whilst Silent Temptation was sent off as the favourite for her recent debut in Ballyvodock. She was not beaten too far by a subsequent sales topper on that occasion.

His stablemate DARK TIL DAYLIGHT also boasts a previous placed effort, Go Loud was only beaten by ten lengths in an auction maiden at Moig South, which will stand to him. Royal Mal held place claims when he came down at the final fence in Tinahely, whilst Tribal Thunder was not without promise when fourth in a Dromahane four-year-old maiden back in April.

MORNING EXPRESS only made her debut at the age of eight in Turtulla back in November, when finishing a very encouraging second. Her more experienced conqueror from that day has since gone on to advertise the form in open company, and as the most unexposed horse in the line-up, she could be the one to side with. Julie Liath was running a cracking race in the GAIN Final last season before coming down at the last, and she made a pleasing return to action in Ballyvdodock, which should bring her into the mix, alongside Tiffinys Girl, Dontcall, Notsomethingelse and Morissette, who all come into this in good form.

This would look to be his for the taking. Vicomte Le Brave has lost his way somewhat of late, with a change of stables not having the desired effect with his Ballindenisk non-completion last time, but if he could bounce back to form, he has a host of placed form in the book. The 83-rated hurdler still held claims on his pointing debut at Comea, whilst the newcomer St Michaels Well, is a half-brother to Mistymal, who won a point-to-point for the same connections.

HUNT AWAY and Beau Walking have both proven themselves in open company this season, which should see them set the standard in this. The former has come up against some of the seasons leading performers, and should find this to be an easier assignment for him. Beau Walking has won three of his four outings this season, including a snug recent success at Comea when scoring on his first attempt at open grade to leave him as the big danger, whilst Dromleigh and the progressive mare Dora Dor are others with claims.
