Track Biography:
The Stonehall Harriers were formed in 1911 and have their kennels in Bansha Askeaton, Co. Limerick.
Point-to-points have been a large part of the hunts calendar for many years.
We now run 3 meetings a year Ballysteen & Moig South.
Many talented riders and horses have graduated from the Stonehall Harriers point-to-points Adrian Maguire rode his first winner on this track which we hope to see this continuing in the years to come.
This will be our second year in Cragmore on the Costello’s Family land and is a terrific track which is always very well received.
Grade 1 winner Death Duty won his four-year-old maiden here in 2015 and provided Derek O’Connor with his 1000th winner between the flags, making him the first point-to-point rider to ever achieve this remarkable milestone.

By Road
From Limerick: Take the N69 road (Listowel Road), it will be signposted from Askeaton

Our point-to-point is located forty minutes from Shannon airport.

Our point to point offers spectator’s brilliant viewing facilities and race goers can get really close the action.
We have parking facilities for any of disabled spectators, where they will get a great view of the track.
We have a road way into the point-to-point with an unlimited amount of parking spaces. We also have a marquee on the day which racegoers can shelter in if the weather turns wet.
We have plenty of portaloos situated around the field also.
Our betting ring is located beside the parade ring. Some of our bookmakers will also take bets on track racing and sometimes provide pictures of the track racing also.

Our Ladies Committee doing the catering on the day where they serve freshly made sandwiches and cakes in our hospitality tent.
We also have a chip van on site for anyone looking for something a little more substantial & for the first time we will have a mobile PIZZA van on site this year.
For the children and those with a sweet tooth we have a sweet stand which sells a variety of confectionery.

Our hot food caterer and sweet stands also have a selection of refreshments on offer.
So there is something to suit all the family!
No dress code, but it is advisable to wear appropriate winter gear as the weather varies a lot this time of year. Wellies are a must!
Yes, but please keep them on a lead.
Yes! Picnics are welcome but please use waste bins provided.
At our point-to-point, we are lucky to have wide open spaces for children to play in a safe environment.
We do not have an ATM on site but Askeaton is our nearest village which is located not too far from the track.

Cragmore point-to-point is the perfect day out for the family in the countryside and as an added bonus for parents all children U16 have free admission.
With Limerick city only 30 minutes from the track, there is an endless amount of attractions to keep you busy within the area. The picturesque town of Killarney is also only an hour and half drive from the point-to-point.

STROLL IN THE PARK was unable to back up his promising debut from Dromahane in April when returning to that Cork venue in November. He is worth a second chance. Shoe Shinner had finished two lengths behind him on their respective debuts, but he needs to recapture his best. Stablemate Inishcorker should improve for his Boulta introduction, whilst Diamond Flush posted his best effort to date when third at Ballycrystal last month.

CONS ROC has the measure of the former champion point-to-pointer Rockys Howya in a maiden hunter chase company at Limerick over Christmas, and he will bid to confirm that form as he builds up to a potential Cheltenham Festival bid. Carnfunnock and Milan Forth both chased home Winged Leader on their most recent attempts in open company, although the latter did add a Hunter Chase win to his CV in Clonmel last week, whilst Rye Hill adds further depth to this.

THE GREAT UNKNOWN is a well-related mare who had been bought for a six-figure price at the store sales, and after failing to get her head in front on the track for Henry de Bromhead, the Killarney runner-up could make an immediate impact on her first start for new connections. What A Flirth has also changed hands of late. She went close off a mark of 82 at Ayr in October on her final start for Dan Skelton, whilst The Real Beaut and De Cuckoo are others for the shortlist.
