Track Biography:
The point-to-point track at Ballycrystal is held on the lands of point-to-point handler Matthew Flynn O'Connor in Kiltealy.
The first meeting took place in January 2020 under the auspices of the Ballinagore Hunt Club, the Island Foxhounds have also used this track for their Autumn fixture.
The course itself is a left handed track and the runners will go downhill for a furlong and a half before it levels out. There is a gentle rise to the line.
In all it is a mile around on each circuit with fives fences. Three of the fences are jumped in the home straight, and all of them come before the winning post. There is another fence at top of the course and the fifth fence is in the back straight.

How To Get There
By Road
From Dublin - Take N7 and M9 to N80 in Carlow. Take exit 5 from M9. Follow N80 and R746 in Wexford, track will be signposted.
From Cork - Follow N8 to E Cork and N25 to Quay St/R500 in New Ross. Take R729 and R731. Continue straight onto R746, track will be signposted.

Combined with our free parking, we are lucky to have a clear viewing track that allows racegoers to get up close to the action, often from the comfort of their car, should they wish to bring their own picnic for the family.
There is a betting ring located close to the parade ring, allowing racegoers to throw an eye over the runners before deciding on what horse warrants a wager. Off-course betting on Irish and UK race meetings is available.

She was only beaten a length and a half in Ballyragget on that occasion, with two of the three horses that finished in front of her already going on to win bumpers. Liberte Des Obeaux could be turned out quickly after her debut third in Ballindenisk last Saturday, whilst Whiskey Serenade did show some promise around here when placed on debut.

She was only beaten by three lengths around here last month and is better than the effort that she produced at Tinahely last weekend. Her stablemate MOUTHSHUTEYESOPEN cost E50,000, and like last years winner, she would be making her debut in this contest. Of the others, Getawayback is entitled to improve from her first start in 11 months, and she had posted a respectable effort in a four-year-old maiden at Dromahane at the start of her career.

Revolut Ned would certainly not be winning out of turn if he was to cross the line in front in this, having made the frame in each of his last three starts, including when second at both Rathcannon and Tinahely in the autumn. Jasmin Des Blins had run well around here last month when returning from an absence, but he did fade quite tamely in Aghabullogue last Sunday which would be a concern, and so it may be the long-awaited debut of OCCUPATIONAL FORCE that is worth following. Bought for E180,000, he is a brother of the talented Lingstown winner Barry The Butcher.
